I'm keeping an eye on this story - I do love me a spooky web-tale, even though of course it is not real...of course, bwahaha. Possibly something new will appear tomorrow, for Halloween and all. Be sure to click on "Updates" when you get to the end, and read through the links there for further plot-thickening.

Posted by: j at October 31, 2004 04:42 AMI can't get past the third email, I'm such a fraidy-cat. I think I'll make the more stoic member of my household read it first.
Posted by: Jess at November 1, 2004 04:27 PMOkay, so, there is a resolution now if you read through all the original e-mails and then go to the updates and read Dani's LiveJournal and then read the final, 10/31 update. It's rather anticlimactic, but isn't that all too often the case? It probably won't scare anyone that badly, if you're still worried about that.
SLIGHTLY SPOILY:
And the "coming out" of the author as to the real reason for the existence of the thing is eye-rollingly bland. No one ever does anything just because they have too much free time anymore...sigh.

Potentially great set-up. Creator runs out of steam before getting to any actual plot, though. Too bad; waste of a good set-up.
Posted by: Doombot at November 2, 2004 07:47 AMI agree- the "I'm a lame Hollywood guy" angle was extremely dissapointing, not to mention the flat ending.
GO KERRY!
The Haber predicts exactly 302 electoral votes for our man - anyone else care to venture a guess?
272.
Are we playing Price Is Right rules? I think anything over 279, while obviously fantastic, would be highly unlikely. (But, America, feel free to prove me wrong there...)
